Melbourne Zoo announced that the three lion cubs born at Werribee 18 months earlier were now on display, so of course, this meant an early morning trip to visit them (and an excuse to play with the camera again).
Like all cats, these lions need to stretch…
… and yawn (although this looks to me more like he’s shouting “But Mum!”)
Naturally, when visiting on a cold morning, a trip to the butterfly house (and the warm environment) is a must, and this means macro lens time..
And one can’t really leave the Zoo without going through the lemur enclosure. Here we see why they tell you not to take food into the enclosure. This cheeky lemur stole this apple from a pram and the keepers couldn’t get it back in time. It is such a shame that some people can’t just follow the rules that are there for the good of the animals and us.
