Matthew
Matthew began working with photography back in 1987, learning the art of black and white photography, including darkroom techniques, as part of his high-school extra-curricula education. Despite having numerous photos appear in various publications during his high-school years, the idea of working as a professional photographer post high-school continued to be more of distant dream than an imminent reality and so Matthew pursued various career options to pay the bills, while still practicing his photographic skills in his spare time and endeavouring to get his work published.
Always keen to learn and adapt to new ideas in photography, Matthew began experimenting with digital cameras shortly after they became available in Australia. These early cameras may have had severe limitations, but as the technology improved, the writing was on the wall that one needed to embrace this new technology. In 2013, having established a successful educational consultancy business by that stage, Matthew began to devote more serious time to pursuing the dream of working as a professional photographer.

Since 2013, a number of Matthew’s images have appeared in print or web based publications. Matthew has also spent considerable time photographing pets, wildlife (free range and in zoos), flowers, cakes, birthday parties, choirs and has had the opportunity to work with some very talented people, both locals and international visitors, to hone his skills. Matthew has also completed coursework in photographic techniques and post-production techniques.
Sanja
Sanja’s artistic talents were first demonstrated in her skills with cooking, cake decorating, flower arrangements and table settings, but Sanja is also academically gifted. A keen student of science, Sanja and Matthew first met while studying science together at university in 2001 and eventually married in 2003. Sanja also studied courses in cake decorating and chocolate making to further her artistic culinary skills.

Sanja often tells people, "I just take pictures, Matthew’s the professional". Whilst Sanja may not have formal training in photography, she has been Matthew’s assistant for many years, working alongside him at events, including taking shots from different perspectives of the event. Sanja has also entered some of her images into amateur photography contests.
