Photography to make you smile!
While stopping in the garden to check on the roses, I noticed this very large spider web spanning about 1-2 metres across the drive with a comparatively small common garden orb weaving spider on it. These spiders rarely sit on their webs in broad daylight, so I took the opportunity to grab a few shots while it was feeding and catching new prey.
Zoos Victoria had announced that the lion cubs born about 6 weeks earlier would be joining the rest of the pride in the main enclosure, so naturally we needed to make a trip to see them.

There was a members only early entrance on this occasion, so I took advantage of the opportunity to shoot in the early morning light without too many people around.
